As presenter at the first annual Internet Security and Marketing Conference, DRWS used the power of the social media waves to spread the word about the event and increase the number of registrants.
The Internet Security and Marketing Conference, was put on my Re:New DeKalb in an effort to showcase local marketing professionals and provide an educational forum for local businesses.
Given this was a first time event, it was our job as one of the expert presenters to promote the conference and sell registrations to the local community. Utilizing the real-time nature of social media, we created pages on both Facebook and Twitter and filled the channels with marketing messages and value-added information for fans and followers.
In order to drive home the ISMC's identity and mission, we created custom social media pages that featured the conference logo and saturated the messaging with conference details. For the first-ever conference, attendance was double the anticipated turn out.
